4. 3 To assign hours to the consumer and IP, double click on the IP's name that is to be assigned. This will automatically open the "IP Match" document. (See Figure 3) Click on the "Assign to Client" button at the top of the "IP Match" document.

4. 4 The "Assign IPs" dialog box will appear. (See Figure 4) In the dialog box select the time segments and the number of hours the consumer has indicated the IP will be working for him/her. You cannot assign more hours than are available for both the IP and the consumer. After selecting the time segments and entering the hours click the "OK" button on the dialog box.
Next click on button on the "IP Match" document.

4. 5 This will automatically update the "Consumer Profile" by adding the time segments and subtracting the available hours (35) from the assigned hours (12) and changing the available hours to 23. (See Figure 5) The consumer's status will change to "Partially Matched". However, if all the consumer's available hours are fulfilled (35), the status changes to "Matched".

Similarly the hired "IP's Profile" will automatically be updated by adding the time segments, and subtracting the available hours (12) from the assigned hours (12), and changing the available hours to 0. (See Figure 6) The IP's status will change to "Working" since all of the IP's desired hours are used. If the IP's available hours were not fulfilled, the status would stay at "Available."
